Meet the petite and sweet Dusty. This young gal had a rough start in life being in a crowded home with too many other shepherds. She lived most of her life outside in a truck yard and her coat was gray
and greasy. She survived one bath (she thought she would die from
the hose) and in time with another bath and good food, her coat will be shiny and soft like rabbit fur. She does well with male dogs of her size or larger. No small dogs or cats. She needs all the positive and gentle direction of positive training to become that glowing beauty. Are you that family?
Greetings folks... My name is Archie, just the like comic book character, even have the freckles! I made a long trip from Arkansas to come into rescue here in the Chicagoland are. And glad I did. I was skinny and had a hard time walking. Aunt Kathy knew right away what the problem was. I needed hip surgery, on both legs. Well, I had my first surgery and I'm doing fantastic. My other hip will be done sometime in March, but I can go to my forever home now. I'm 15months old, completely vetted and in great health. I play well with most dogs, they have to have good manners cause that's what we learn here in rescue. I'm a bit shy at first to meet strangers, but if you have treats.... then your my friend. After both hips are done, I will be pain free for the rest of my life. Come find me at Simply Shepherds Rescue.
This is Tank. A very handsome and sweet boy. Tank came from a hoarding situation. Fortunately, he was surrendered at a young age. He is approx 14months old, UTD in vaccinations and completely vetted.
Tank is a very shy shepherd, and needs a gentle soul and home to build his socialization and confidence. He also is terrified of women. A man only home would be best. If you are looking for someone to take walks with and sit and watch the sport games on TV, then come meet Tank.
Adopted Our newest addition came up from the Indianapolis area. Right now he needs some good TLC to bring him into good health. Hank is HW+ and will start treatment within the month. He has to be neutered, a dental, and meds for his ears. There is a bit of hair loss, probably from being a stray and not eating well and having fleas. We see that clearing up over the next several weeks. Hank has no formal training and will take a gentle soul that has german shepherd experience to educate him. Sables are the smartest of the german shepherd world.... Hank just needs time to catch up on his learning. We see him as an only dog and probably not children.
